Dana Air Plane Crash...Unfolding details and investigation

 

According to citizens' platform, three (3) media houses - Television Continental, Channels Television and Africa Independent Television - are to appear before the Lagos Coroner's Court today to show clips of the scene of the Dana crash of June 3rd, in their possession.

Presiding Coroner, Mr. Oyetade Komolafe, instructed the media houses to come to court with their equipment to air the clips at the next adjourn date, along with copies of the videotapes for circulation to counsels.

Meanwhile, according to Punch newspaper online, the Air Traffic/Radar Controller at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, Mr. Rafiq Arogunjo, who was on duty when the Dana Air plane crashed, said the failure of the two engines of the plane before the crash was a strange occurrence.

He said, “For Dana, the case of dual engine failure is too rare; I’m surprised. But we will await for the final report of the Accident Investigation Bureau.”
