C26: So far, this has been the most painful
write up to read. The grammar and sentence construction is just painful to
assimilate. Ubesie seems to have a hard time sticking to rules by the way…all 3
sessions, he has competed and in all 3 sessions, he broke the rules. 200 words
is all that was required. The picture is nice and would have been meaningful if
only he had a much more meaningful and better constructed essay.

C15: Sometimes, less is more. If she had
written less, she would have achieved a greater depth with her words. If she
had taken the picture of a single flower bud, she would have had a more sticking
photo.
C16: I like the simplicity of his words but I
think it leaves too much to imagination. I wish the picture had focuses more on
the pollen though. I am very curious as to the device he captured this picture
with…would be interesting to meet him and see.
C17: So apparently, Augustine is a white guy
with large hands and he has chosen to write about his new born puppy. SMH….is
originality so hard?
C18: This entry lost me at the 2nd
paragraph. The picture is lovely but the write up takes away from the depth.
Perhaps if the write up had related the chicks to the start of life and natural
instinct to feed and survive, it would have stood a chance.
C19: We can all see that he got this photo off
the internet. Moving on
C20: Words like ‘procreation’ totally destroy
the depth of a written piece. His essay feels like a ramble and the picture
looks to me like ‘mama goat’ is scolding one prodigal ‘kid’ or is worried about
how she will get him to come over to where she stand. If this was a theme about
a mother’s love, this picture might have stood a chance.
C21: I don’t even have the word for this…SMH
C22: I wish he had related the masquerade tree
to the sunrise…or even the clouds. But instead, he seemed to ramble in his
essay. I like the picture though…the angle is very interesting and captures
what a lot of people see when they look in the morning…including a roof top,
high tension cables, clouds…I like the picture.
C23: Again, this picture speaks more of a
mother’s love than of new life. The write up is not deep or inspiring.
C24: 200 words is all that was asked. The
essay is too long and dreary. The picture doesn't even relate to the
essay…where are the oaks, the forest, the luminous leaves??!!!
C25: I love this. A deep and meaningful write
up. The photo seems real but I wish it wasn’t staged…oh why didn’t he take a picture
of a sprouting seedling in a pot or the earth???? *sad* Howewver, the photo and
the write up relate perfectly and give so much depth to the theme.
C27: Imagine the world without flowers as
decoration??? Mr King, the theme is new life, new birth, NOT flowers, color or
decoration.
C28: I love love love the picture (i think the
guy from c25 would have been able to adjust his write up to suit this picture
better). The write up is also pretty meaningful, albeit the grammar faults but
she went on for a bit too long and just managed to stop at that thin line
between deep and boring.
