Spoken Word Poetry: Look Up - Gary Turk

Last night, I played this piece on my show and it got a number of people talking. For those of you that wanted a link to watch/download it, well, here goes.

I think the message of this piece is very fundamental to building human relationships. I am guilty of a good number of 'social media misgivings' brought up in the piece but then, it sure has inspired me to make an effort at fostering real friendships...the kind that go past meeting up, blowing air kisses, taking pretty pictures for instagram and commenting on social media trends; the kind that is really sharing, caring and nurturing.
