The New Woman Radio Show (TNR)

I am more than elated to tell you about the launch of The New Woman Radio Show or TNR for short. I have worked on this project for the past few months and I am happy that it is finally being put out. Honestly, I really didn't think it was ready to be put out but I figured that if I keep waiting for some grand perfection, I would stall on this project (like I have on some others in the past...lol) and so, I am starting and will perfect it as we go along.

Before I get ahead of myself, let me tell you about TNR.

TNR is not just a radio talk show, it is a movement. The new woman is not just a strong woman, neither is she just an independent woman, she is a woman who has mastered the art of living life, staying beautiful and embracing her compassion and capacity to love; she is a woman who, in her quest to achieve great heights does not feel the need to pull anyone down to clear her path...whether male or female; she is a woman who is spiritual but not bound by religious idiosyncrasies; she is a woman who doesn't have it all figured out and isn't ashamed to admit that or afraid to learn as she goes ahead.

On TNR, we will talk about various things that affect women and try to approach them from a New Woman's perspective. We will also speak with professionals, people who have lived through experiences, experts and men (yes, men) to get their insights, professional advice and personal opinion on different matters.

TNR is starting off this weekend on Solid FM (Saturday, 8.15pm) and Dream FM (Sunday, 8.30pm). Soon hopefully, more stations will be added to the broadcast syndication list.

TNR is hosted by me and I have a co-host, Elsie Eluwa, who I am very happy to have met late last year. We have gone ahead to foster a rather healthy friendship. There is also a short segment on TNR called "Letters To Wase" that is narrated by a young student I got friendly with during my time at GoUni Radio, Nkeiruka.

I am tempted to say a whole lot more but I will stop myself and enjoin you to please tune in and join in this movement. From this weekend, the blog www.newwomanshow.blogspot.com will become active and you will also be able to download and listen to aired shows every week.

So make it a date with TNR this weekend and let the movement begin...
