The singular decision that affected my weekend
At the time I went to bed on Friday, I had planned my 'Saturday' in my head; I was to work out for an hour inside my house, go to the mechanics, go to the market (just to buy vegetables and stockfish to cure my yam and vegetable craving), do my nails, cook, record an episode of bedroom diaries and blog. I went to bed feeling like a woman with a plan.
When I woke up on saturday, I prayed with my friend and her children and then decided to go with my friend and work out at a wellness centre, instead of my house. That decision changed my weekend...it is an experience I won't forget.
So we got there, joined in with the group and started doing work with gym sticks and stuff for coordination and balance. I was fab. Then we moved to another section with a different instructor, and the experience began. I was positioned right in front of the instructor, facing him and so I honestly tried to do all he instructed us to do...until his instructions started to get sexual.
We did something to help us loosen up our hips and work the waist and he instructed us using word like 'whine', 'push it', 'hard'...all the while, rolling his hips provocatively and looking directly at me. At first, I tried to be tough and just laugh over the matter with everyone else but then it got uncomfortable so I had to turn around and back him.
He made us spend quite some time doing things that required us thrusting our hips in different directions, all the while, saying words that sounded my sexual than anything else. By the time we got on the mat for ab exercises, the entire group was agog with laughter when he made us lie face down and lift just out butts up....he used words like 'ugh','thrust', 'do it' 'hard'.
And he was still looking directly at me...you can imagine the discomfort.
Anyway, I made it through the session which lasted 3 hours and was so weak and tired. I had breakfast and then proceeded to have a shower and sleep. That was how I stayed in bed through saturday...and then, I started to feel ill.
Then on sunday, I woke up with the worst case of muscle soreness ever. I could hardly lift bottles of water to my mouth to drink. Luckily though, I managed to cook my yam and vegetable (someone had been kind enough to shop for me on saturday), get my hair done and record episodes of bedroom diaries.
And the point of this long story is to apologise for not posting on the blog all weekend long :D
